Good Afternoon all,
I thought it would be a cool idea to share with you lot my current inspirations. Now I use deviant art a lot, they have some very high profile competitions and have come a long way since I join (nothing to do with me though.) Anyway as a mini tribute style thing to the people at DA I thought I’d put together a little list of my favourite Deviant Artists. A lot of these artists obviously are not specific to deviant art, most have their own websites etc but I thought I would keep it to DA as in the future I will be looking to bring you less well known DA portfolios. Anyway Hopefully by reading this you may find some new art you haven’t seen before or maybe re-light your fire for an artists work that you haven’t seen in a long time. You may even find looking through the artists work gives you new found inspiration to produce your on work. Let’s get on with it.
Caramelaw
First up is vector artist caramelaw from Singapore. Lately I’ve been completely mesmerized by her work and the level of detail she puts into every element of her designs. The clean vector style mixed with a beautiful colour pallette really give her work a unique edge over other vector artists. The work she has done for Depth Core is brilliant and adds a very playful nature to the collections found at Depth Core.

Zach Bush
Secondly comes one of my favourite modern graphic artists Zach Bush. I first came across his work printed in an advanced photoshop magazine and have been hooked ever since. His work is intricately detailed and his digital painting skills are improving ten fold. Of late his work has become much more illustrative portraying characters such as The Mad Hatter and as part of a Deviant Art Competition, God himself, which was a mammoth task but executed with stunning skill. He also has some futuristic and fantasy landscape paintings that are truly astounding, plus they make for good desktop wallpapers
. Anyway this guy is only going to get better. I literally find myself itching to see his latest work, and I’m never dissapointed.

Nik Ainley
Nik is a very well known graphic artist who seemed to be everywhere last year, doing adverts and designs for companies like Nike, Adidas, MTV and all sorts. His work is brilliantly precise and he has certainly sparked a trend with his typography work. His unique techniques have awoken many a new style of work and with each piece he seems to get better and better. He has some brilliant tutorials in both magazines and on the internet that are really helpful and inspiring so be sure to check them out.

ArchanN
Well this guy is one of a kind. He is very well known in the design world for his unique composition style and excellent colour schemes. His work really jumps out at you from the page and his private work flows effortlessly into his client based projects, such as the Tiger beer advertisement and windows 7. He has personally inspired me to pursue working on “art for art’s sake” playing around with background textures and spending more time on my colour choices. He is a true inspiration and if you haven’t see his work before…look now

So that brings the deviant art cream of the crop to an end…for now anyway. I plan to bring you a select number of Deviant Art profiles that I stumble upon each month so stay tuned for that regular blog.
